Jon Ruyle has been hired as the head coach of the Kearney Catholic softball team. Ruyle is the Director of Youth Development for the Central Nebraska Softball Academy started by former UNK baseball coach Damon Day. Ruyle replaces the late Russ Hiemstra, who died this spring.
The Nebraska mens basketball team has delayed season ticket renewals indefinitely. The information came via an email to current season ticket holders. Last year, Nebraska sold out its allotment of season tickets by August.The Husker men are scheduled to tip off their season Nov. 10th against Cleveland State after a Nov. 2nd exhibition against Peru State.
