Well, not really. There is a fairly ornate edge to this piece that will take quite some time to sand carefully.
I love natural wood but had no intention of stripping down this table but when my eye kept going to the imperfection on the top I decided to refinish just the top and then I fell in love with what I saw in the construction, wood grain and pattern.
The imperfection is now hidden under one of my red segments…even I can’t find it anymore…that makes me happy.
This is apparently the season for face masks: I wear one when I go shopping for refinishing supplies and I wear one when I’m sanding. Good thing I don’t work in the medical field or I’d have a mask on for most of my waking hours.
