Mask or No Mask?

By Franzman Apr 1, 2020 | 7:16 AM

This article ran in the New York Times:

Both the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said that regular citizens don’t need to wear masks in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, unless they’re sick and coughing and sneezing. There’s also concern that health care workers across the globe are dealing with shortages of N-95 masks and other protective gears.

On Monday, Donald Trump said average citizens wearing masks is “certainly something we should discuss.” And on Tuesday, a federal official said that the CDC is reviewing mask wearing for the public after receiving a request from the White House coronavirus task force, which is considering recommending it.” (New York Times)

My opinion doesn’t matter as I am at a loss to comprehend this unprecedented situation.
Perhaps the wearing of masks made it easier to control the virus in South Korea. What do you think? Will it make you feel safer to wear a mask?
