Nutcracker wouldn’t be Nutcracker without the local Children’s cast! Dancing along side the full professional Russian cast are local Kearney children from T’Dance School of Performing Arts. T’Dance School of Performing Arts offers a high quality of dance education in a family atmosphere. They provide an environment that is supportive, encouraging and conducive to learning. The instructors are dedicated to their art of dance and annually attend training workshops and seminars to be able to bring the finest in instruction to their students. T’Dance believes in training the individual personality of each dance student and realizes that each student has chosen to be involved in dance for different reasons or goals. They want all of their students to have an enriching experience and to learn discipline, dedication and responsibility as it relates to their dance education.

The Merryman stage is a venue for more than 130 events each year. More than 62,000 people enter the beautiful Ron & Carol Cope Foyer to enjoy a Merryman season show, school music program, Kearney area concert, dance recital, choral program, wedding or church service in the Morris Family Theatre. The Robert M. Merryman Performing Arts Center is unique. It is the only community performing arts center to be located in an active elementary school. The original building was built in 1926 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  The Ron and Carol Cope Grand Lobby, the Reception Hall and the Scott D. Morris Family Theatre echo the architectural design.
