Hall County Public Transportation moving to new location
GRAND ISLAND, Nebr.-The City of Grand Island informs the community that Hall County Public Transportation is moving. Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 14, the service will be provided at 1016 Diers Ave. /Suite 119, with office hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The new phone number will be 308-646-0069.
The City’s Transit Division, and the transit service provider, Hall County Public Transportation will both be located at this new address. The City’s Transit Division was formally at Grand Island City Hall and Hall County Public Transportation was located at the Grand Generation Center. The move will accommodate the recent growth in transit services recently experienced in Hall County and the ability to prepare for future development and expansion.
Hall County Public Transportation serves the residents of Hall County with a portal-to-portal, demand-responsive service operating within the urbanized area of Grand Island while serving the communities of Alda, Wood River, Cairo, and Doniphan. Transit services are provided weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is only $2 per one-way trip. A minimum 24-hour notice is required from an individual needing transportation. Rides generally book farther out than 24-hours, so users of this service are encouraged to call as far in advance as possible.
